Celebrate 250 years of American spirit and iconic music as Piano Monster returns with its signature spectacle—four grand pianos and eight pianists in one electrifying concert. This all-American program closes the Showcase Series with the unmistakable power and color of a multi-piano ensemble, honoring the nation’s musical legacy through a wide-ranging and celebratory program.
Program includes: specially arranged selections of Scott Joplin’s Original Rags; music from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein; and Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait, narrated by Marc Embree. The evening concludes with classic patriotic sing-alongs, including God Bless America, Yankee Doodle, Yankee Doodle Dandy, Battle Hymn of the Republic, and You’re a Grand Old Flag.
MSU Pianists: Young Hyun Cho, Stanislav Khristenko, Elden Little, Tamar Mikeladze, Deborah Moriarty, Derek Polischuk, Zhihua Tang, and Eric Zuber.
Generously sponsored by Andrea L. Wulf. The entire Showcase Series is underwritten by the MSU Federal Credit Union.
